I installed this item in my 06 Mazda and was less than happy with how the system initially functioned after installation. The steering wheel controls didn’t work as expected, and my iPhone constantly stopped playing music. After contacting GROM about my issues, they determined that i probably had a bad iPhone cable. They over-nighted me a new cable, and after installing it, everything worked as they advertised on their site. Steering wheel controls now work great and I haven’t had a single problem with my iPhone cutting out when connected. Thanks for the great Service GROM!

We were looking for a direct-connect iPod audio solution for a Mazda 3. Found this product from GROM and had it installed professionally for only about $50. The iPod works perfectly with the car stereo controls, exactly as stated.

I have a 2002 Mazda MPV with the factory stereo and was looking for a way to connect my iphone 3GS without completely changing out the unit. It took me 15mins to pop open the dash, remove 4 screws holding the stereo in, hook up the grom adaptor to the proper plug in the back, confirm that it worked and put it all back together.
Works great, saved me additional money because it works perfect with the wheel mount stereo controls. If I had to replace the stereo, I probably would have spent 250-300 for the deck and an additional 80$ to maintain the wheel controls. This unit cost me 90$, works great and was easy to install. Can’t ask for more than that. Allowed me to maintain a nice sounding factory stereo while bringing its functionality forward 8 years.
Shipping was super fast too.
