I bought this item when I used a nano in my Mazda Tribute. Works as described, but ended up having to pay a stereo shop $50 to help me put it in (factory radio very difficult to remove). When I upgraded to an iPhone I found that this is plagued by the same problem as most accessories: it is 12v (i.e. old firewire standard). Whenever I plug in my iPhone I am alerted that it will not charge and this may damage my new $400 phone.
In hindsight, after the cost of the product and install help I could have spent a little more and gotten an aftermarket HD/iPhone receiver for my car.

I installed and the only thing it did was disconnect my cd player, but in all fairness it might be the guy who installed it that didnt know what he was doing.
